Transitioning into spring can be somewhat tricky, as it can be pretty chilly in the morning and get up to 80-something in the afternoon, here in Bakersfield. But, this season, I've been having so much fun putting pieces together to create transitional outfits! Layering has quickly turned into a staple for me - I love the different combinations that can be made with just a few key pieces. I had so much fun putting together some different transitional outfits for inspo for you guys! My favorite thing about these looks is that everything, with the exception of one pair of jeans and boots, is well under $50!
Transitional Outfits to Wear to Work
Pairing a floral dress with over-the-knee boots can be a quick go-to in this transitional weather. I love that the floral pattern on this dress makes it perfect for spring without being too bright and colorful, and I'll wear these OTK boots from fall until Spring!
A patterned top with jeans and booties creates a more casual look that can still be worn to work. I love the sleeve and neck details on this top!
Layering different pieces has been so fun for me, lately. I put this ribbed turtleneck under this floral jumpsuit and paired it with grey booties and loved the result! This look feels so feminine but is also so comfy for a long day at work.
Casual Transitional Outfits
Jeans paired with a spring top is an easy go-to, and what I'll usually wear on the weekends. I'm obsessing over the pattern trend right now - polka dots, fruit, hearts - they're all so cute!
Some more layering! I love putting a thin long sleeve under an overall dress. The first dress is corduroy and this second one is faux suede. Pairing these dresses with boots, booties, or even heels makes them each their own unique look! This floral embroidered top is so perfect for spring weather, too.
A long sleeve top can also be so cute with a skirt or shorts! I paired this balloon sleeve top with a little denim skirt and wore booties for a weekend transitional look.
